Notary vs. witness: they are not the same thing.
A notary verifies identity, witnesses a signature when required, and completes the notarial certificate. A witness is a separate person who observes the signing when the document requires it.
I may act as one witness only when legally allowed and when doing so does not conflict with my role as the notary. Some documents require a separate witness, and some receiving agencies may have their own rules.
Witness services are provided only when legally permitted. Signify Notary Co. is not responsible for how a document is used after witnessing or notarization.

Identification & Right to Refuse
Valid government-issued photo identification is required for all notarizations. Services may be refused if identity cannot be verified, if the document appears incomplete, if the signer appears unwilling or unaware, or if the request does not meet legal requirements.
Remote Online Notarization Notice
Not all documents or receiving agencies accept remote online notarization. It is the client’s responsibility to confirm that their document will be accepted before booking.
Payment & Refund Policy
A 50% nonrefundable deposit is required to secure appointments. Remaining balances and applicable fees must be paid before the appointment begins. No refunds will be issued for completed services.

Signify Notary Co. reserves the right to refuse service when required by law, when proper identification cannot be verified, when a signer appears pressured or unaware, or when the request falls outside permitted notary services.

Can every document be notarized online?
No. Some documents may not qualify depending on the document type, state rules, receiving agency, or platform requirements.
Can you notarize and be a witness?
Sometimes. A notary and a witness are different roles. I may only act as one witness when legally allowed and when it does not create a conflict with the notarial act.
Do you provide two witnesses?
No. I only provide one witness service when legally allowed.
Do I sign before the appointment?
No. Please do not sign before the session unless you are specifically instructed to do so.
Do you prepare documents?
No. Document preparation is not offered, and legal advice is not provided.
